How To Share Your Phone’s Internet With Other Phones And Devices


Method#1. Wi-Fi Tethering

You might have used wireless connection of home or college but do you know you can provide Wi-Fi from your phone too and in the same way, other person would access your Internet the way you might have used wireless connection of your home or college.

Wi-Fi tethering consumes phone’s battery but its main advantage is that it provides ability to share phone’s internet connection with multiple devices, all at the same time.

Sharing Phone’s Internet Connection with Wi-Fi tethering

Step1. Open your phone setting and under Wireless and Network, tap on more setting.



Step2. In Wireless and Networks, you will get options but go to Tendering and Portable hotspot.

Step3. Go to portable Wi-Fi hotspot to activate Wi-Fi tethering. Your Wi-Fi network will become available to all nearby devices. It is always good to set up Wi-Fi hotspot so that no other person could access your Internet without your permission. Set your own network SSID and security key or you can also use default password.

Method#2. USB Tethering

USB tendering is another fast and easiest way to share your phone’s Internet connection. One of the advantage of using USB tendering that it doesn’t consume phone’s battery and lets you enjoy full speed 2G or 3G connection provided by another phone. But it comes with limitation that this method can only be used to share Internet connection with desktop or laptop through USB.

Step1. Connect your phone to desktop or laptop through USB data cable.

Step2. Open phone’s setting and go to Setting–> More setting –> Wireless and Network

Step3. You will get Tendering and Portable network, tap on that.

Step4. Make USB tethering enable, it will allow you to fire up any browser from PC and surf Internet with your phone’s internet connection.

Step5. On your desktop or laptop, click on network icon and find phone’s wireless connection. This might ask you to enter security key. Next, enter security key that you have already saved in your phone, if not then there will be by default security key. As soon as you enter, you would be able to access its internet connection.

Method#3. Bluetooth Tethering

Share Phone’s Internet connection with Bluetooth Tethering

Step1. Open your Android phone setting and go to more setting option and then tap on more setting.

Step2. Under Network, you will find Tethering and Portable Hotspot, click on the same.

Step3. Enable Bluetooth setting, this will allows you to share phone’s Internet connection with one device that you would connect via Bluetooth.
